The Side I Choose

i would most likely choose the con side. Because i think that teenage girls should not have to notify their parent or guardian. Yes they are the ones that are taking care of the girl, but if she is having sex and is keeping from her parent she is better safe then sorry. Most girls don't tell their parent because they are afraid of their reaction. A girl should be able to keep herself safe without having to make it huge deal, they have to see this through a young teenage girls eyes not a fifty year old mans eyes. My concerns about choosing this position is that i might not have enough information.

Many people feel that is not the best choice to have girls need to have parents or guardians present or at least aware if their child is getting birth control. This is because most girls don't tell their parents if they're having sex and thats because they don't want them to know. This would cause several girls to not go the safe way. Meaning get birth control pills, make sure that they're being safe, and getting tested for STDS, because either embarrassed, don't know how to tell them, or just are nervous about their parent or guardians reaction. Leaving several girls unprotected when having sex.

There are different laws concidering birth control in every state which causes most of the problems. Some states feel that it is not necessary for mlinors (girls under eighteen) to have an adult present for abortion, buying birth control pills, etc. Such states are New YOrk and New Jersey. Many parents and gaurdians feel that this is wrong and that

Birth Control

Birth Control is a topic amoung several young teenagers. Some feel that haveing birth control available to all ages isnt good. They say it promotes sex. And with this form of protection from pregnancy there is no protection from stds. Also that birth control can have sever side effects. And these issues make several people think that having it available to everyone may not be the best things but even worse that you do not need an adult to come with you nor do your parents need to know .

On the other hand some feel that if a girl wants to get birth control its better that she safe rather than sorry. If a girl who tells her parents wont let her get birth control and shes sexually active, the girl would be better off getting the pill just to be safe. Most girls do eventually tell their mother that they are on birth control, and most mothers reaction is almost a relief. Be cause then they know that their daughter is being safe. Also when the pill is used with a condom you are protected from pregnancy and stds.
