Many people feel that is not the best choice to have girls need to have parents or guardians present or at least aware if their child is getting birth control. This is because most girls don't tell their parents if they're having sex and thats because they don't want them to know. This would cause several girls to not go the safe way. Meaning get birth control pills, make sure that they're being safe, and getting tested for STDS, because either embarrassed, don't know how to tell them, or just are nervous about their parent or guardians reaction. Leaving several girls unprotected when having sex.

If you are going to argue the reasons why parents should be present there has to be reasons why a minor can get birth control but not other medications and such.
I agree that girls should be able to receive birth control without the consent of parents because if their parents feel they are too young and not ready and they do not want to supply them with birth control, young girls will still have sex. Now they will be unprotected and at risk of pregnancy and that is not fair to them because it is their body.
